Lost Season 6 ‘highly anticipated and shocking finale’!
The ‘highly anticipated and shocking finale’ has been planned for our very favorite TV show ‘Lost’.
Fifth season of ‘Lost’ came to an end on May 13, 2009 with the season finale entitled ‘The Incident’. And, Lost has nothing more than the sixth season in its bag. Making the sentence clear, Lost would be over after the sixth season and it has been officially confirmed by ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson. McPherson said, “Lost will end during the 2009-2010 season with a “highly anticipated and shocking finale.” We felt that this was the only way to give Lost a proper creative conclusion”. The fifth season of show had 17 episodes and its going to be the same for the sixth season.
Well, wrapping up Lost would not be a piece of cake for the writers and producers. Long stories intertwined with each other need to be sorted out before tying their loose ends, but how. No body knows except may be the minds behind the creation of Lost.
Talking about the same, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse gave some hints about the end of the show. Cuse says, “The end of the show will be a combination of trying to answer mysteries the audience still cares about, such as the statue and the Smoke Monster”. Adding more, they said that attempts are being made to answers the questions which are important and central to the plot of the show. It’s not necessary that all your ‘questions‘ would be part of the list prepared by the creators. Consider yourself lucky, if you get answers to the questions that intrigue you..
The sixth season of Lost is scheduled to be aired from Feb-May 2010. And, the most surprising revelation is that only Matthew Fox among the cast of Lost’ knows that ‘Lost’ is near to its end.

Do you know the following about ‘Lost’?
I know many of you would shake your head to say ‘no’. In fact, just two days ago, I was also one of you, ignorant about the beauty and wonders of the places where our very favorite TV show ‘Lost‘ is being shot. As series has reached to its fifth season, it’s kinda tardy to come to know about all this now. Anyways, I won’t let you get more late so gonna tell you what you would surely be interested to know about, if you are a huge fan of Lost TV show.
Well, Hawaiian island of Oahu is the place where cutting edge technology based Panavision 35 mm cameras shot almost all episodes of series. Yes, yes, I know many of you would say that the locations were different in the pilot episode of series. Actually, it was because the scenes of series opener were shot near the northwest tip of the island, at Mokulē’IA Beach. Beach locations are of the famous North Shore. The decision to bring diversity in the scenes of the episodes made the creators to find new and new locations to get the scenes shot. Taking it near to reality, all the cave scenes were filmed at a sound stage constructed at a Xerox part warehouse. It was not enough, to bring variety the sound stage and production offices were next moved to Hawaii Film Studio to film some episodes of the second and third season of series.
And, now the very surprising fact, the crew of ‘Lost’ never went to other countries to film the scenes. All the different regions of the world shown on the series- most notably Iraq, Nigeria, United Kingdom, South Korea, Paris, Thailand, New York, Iowa, Miami, California, Berlin and Australia- are actually the urban parts surrounding Honolulu. Their creativity is awesome and only those people can tell how to shoot the scenes of Sydney Airport at the Hawaii Convention Centre.

‘Lost’, I am here, ‘Because You Left’!
Isn’t the title of the post pretty confusing? Yeah… it’s if you didn’t watch the season opener episode of fifth season of ‘Lost’ TV show. You know what I best like about Lost is that its bag is always full of surprises. Four years have passed since ‘Lost’ premiere and it still has the guts to make me surprised! Throughout the run of series, we’ve been so familiar with the characters and the storyline and the Island also, but still every episode makes me realize that I am nothing more than a newbie! Cool man…
As we all know, Lost has begun its journey with fifth season, after ruling the ABC Network for four successful seasons. Opening the new season was the episode entitled ‘Because You Left’… the way I entitled my post! Wholly, it was the eighty fourth episode of the show. Okay, let’s go and have a review:
In this episode, we saw that the remaining survivors of the Island started feeling the effects of the backwashes of moving to the island. Meanwhile, Jack and Ben began their pursuit to reunite Oceanic 6. Their intentions were to return to the island with Locke’s body in order to save their fellow castaways. This episode was aired on January 21, 2009 and received 13.316 million American viewers. ‘Because You Left’ really gave a finicky start to ‘Lost’ season 5 and I guess, upcoming episodes would surely follow the trend set by the season opener.
Well, as much I know about the ‘Lost’ season 5 is that the season would follow two timelines. The first would take place on the Island where we would see the remaining survivors unpredictably jumping through time and the second would take place off the island.
It was nice to see that the show has begun with a bang…. Things have been reinvented and storyline is adjusting very well with the theme of time-traveling. Hey buddies….. Lost is back with a brand new and very promising season… Don’t miss any of the upcoming episodes of ‘Lost’ Season 5!

Lost’s smarty Daniel Dae Kim’s next Island
When only few days are left to watch the premiere of the fifth season of ‘Lost TV Show’, I am busy in searching latest updates about the stars of the show. And, the one I got is about Daniel Dae Kim. Okay, not making you to think more, I am gonna reveal it. Daniel Dae Kim is going to join a new, fully-staged arena production of ‘The King and I’ along with Maria Friedman. It’ll be performed at the Royal Albert Hall and performances will begin June 12, 2009. Well, I am happy to hear the news as Daniel Dae Kim is my personal favorite among the star cast of ‘Lost’.
The day when ‘Lost’ was premiered, I was not sure how long it’d go. And, they did a great job making it run for five consecutive seasons. ‘Lost’ was made into a mysterious drama using a number of mysterious elements in the episodes. It’s very intelligently planned drama and you can never come to know what’s behind what. All this induces us to watch more and more so that we can find out the truth hidden under the white curtain. Supernatural kind of stuff on ‘Lost’ is the basis of fan speculation. Adding mythological stuff are the following elements- a monster that roams on Island, ‘The Others’, a mysterious inhabitants of the Island, and DHARMA Initiative, a baffling Organization with several research stations on the Island and the list goes on!
Mystery never ends on ‘Lost’ and the ones who’ve watched it from beginning know better. All episodes are of two main parts- first part deals with a primary storyline on the Island and the second part deals with a secondary storyline from characters’ life. ‘Lost’ received huge response from fans during its first season itself and each episode of first seasonof ‘Lost’, received an average of 16 million viewers per episode. I think, it’s only one show which has received such kinda response from audience.
And I guess things will get even more fantastic during this upcoming season and that’s’ why I am curiously waiting for the show which has innumerous folds of mystery!

Little more about Lost Season 5!
I know that all of you’d be crazy to watch the upcoming episodes of ‘Lost’. Well, buddies don’t ask me how eagerly I am waiting for the next season of show. It was May 29, 2008 when we last watched Lost and the episode was ‘There’s No Place Like Home (3)’, fourth season finale.
Fifth season of ‘Lost’ will have 17 episodes. Airings will commence in January 2009 and will end in May, 2009. ‘Lost’ fifth season will pick the things up from where they’re left by the fourth season finale ‘There’s No Place Like Home’. It’ll continue the stories of the survivors of the fictional crash of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815. Some of them have been rescued and season will carry on the stuff. Hey buddies, I’ve got some details of the upcoming episodes of the show, here they’re for you buddies…..
Season opener will be a two hour episode. Opening the fifth season will be with the episode entitled ‘Because You Left’. It’ll be aired on January 21, 2009. Here, we’ll see that the remaining rescuers will start feeling the effects of the backwash of moving the Island. 21st January is the big day
Hey, all you ‘Lost’ fans, I know that you all are very excited as the channel has renewed the series with yet another season. Okay, I know that this is a kind of stale news for you, but probably this next news might be of interest to you. Finally, to launch the next season of the series the television premiere date has been set for 21st January at 8pm. The whole premiere event will last for three hours. Now, this is an awesome way to welcome back a series. In this whole three hour premiere, two hours will be given to the first two episodes of season five. Well, guys now that you are told about the season premiere, let me just remind you of another thing. Guys, this is the second last season of the series.
Can you believe it? This season and after this, another one and that’s all. Well, this is really hard for me to believe. Every time I have to tell myself that all good things come to an end and so will this one. Well, as for now I don’t want to bother myself and you all with a thing that will happen after two years. Lets just enjoy this upcoming season premiere and after that the episodes of the series. And yes, well, I am not too sure about this one, but most likely Lost’s regular time slot will be on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. so, I am booked on Wednesday nights. How about you guys? ‘Lost’ is not lost, it’d back soon!
You know what, when I wrote the post ‘What the Producers say about Lost Season 5‘, I was very excited as the Series was back with the fifth season. But now, I am more thrilled. Actually, Today I’m not gonna tell what producers say, in fact, I have something to say!
Everyone knows that Lost will be back with season 5, but only few ones know about the episodes details and all. And, luckily, I am one of those few ones. I’ve got all the details and here they’re for you ‘Lost’ fans.
Well, you favorite series will wish you a very ‘Happy New Year’, on January 1, 09. Season opener is entitled ‘Because You Left’ and in this episode, you’ll see that many Oceanic Six survivors will get to grips so that they can return to the island. Next…… enough man! That’s what I know yet. So, your New Year eve will be a special one. I know, it’s already a special one, but ‘Lost’ will definitely add more fun and amusement to it.
Second episode will be aired on January 8, 2009. What do you expect from the upcoming season after the lost season 4 finale, ‘There’s no Place like Home (3)’ aired on May 29, 08? In this episode, we see that the survivors find themselves close to rescue and season 5 will continue the stories of the survivors of the crash of Oceanic Airlines, Flight 815. Damon Lindelof, series’ writer/co-creator/executive producer, ‘Fifth Season is about why the [people who have left the island] need to get back”.
I am crazy to watch season 5. Are you? Yeah…. every ‘Lost’ fan is. Have you heard about the cast updates? I have, but not sure about the particular ones. I anticipate that cast will be renewed and we’ll see some new faces this time. Hey! Let’s just wait for the new season as that’s what we can……

Desmond Returns to Lost
I am a devoted fan of Lost and can’t have enough of it. There are such layers and layers of narration that viewing it once is just not good enough for me. I recently read something on Buddy TV that I must share with you guys. Henry Ian Cusick is coming back in the next season of the lost as Desmond. Now this really took me by surprise. I did not expect to see him again. After all in last season he was finally reunited with his lady love Penelope Widmore and all lose ends were tied up pretty neatly.
I guess its time to watch again the last season and I am going to download it from here. There could be some thing that I had missed. Anyway it’s always a pleasure to watch the episodes of Lost again and again. My friends and I spent entire evening yesterday speculating the circumstances under which Desmond could return in the next season of Lost.
However I am pretty sure that Desmond can not come back if everything was hunky dory. Why the hell he would do that? May be Penny disappears or he is made to come back under some duress but for sure it would be not on happy terms.
I am any day more interested in those who were left back on the island. Till the new season starts after 5 months I am going to watch the old episodes here.

A lil’ more about the new season
All Losties carry on looking for the newer updates about Lost. But only a few like me get a bit about the show. As usual today too I was looking for some thing new about the coming season and I found out something from Buddy TV about the series. The trailers of new season of ‘Lost’ have been shown over there recently and reports say that, there will be a little change in the storyline now.
Now the storyline will move between flash backs and flash forwards. Means, now there will be less of real world and a more of the fantasy world. All the people on Island are now fed up of staying there for such a long time and are looking for a way out, after such struggle and bizarre experiences. So now they will be lost in their past lives. And a few optimistic people will be busy in planning for their future after getting out of there. It may seem a little monotonous, but as per the buddy reports there will be logical progression of each story.

I am trying to be optimistic towards the idea and let’s see if it generates some entertainment. I am not very enthusiastic about this idea though. I was expecting that this time Losties would find a way of getting out of island and after returning to their homes they would tell different stories to their families and friends about their terrible experiences on that island. Or may be on the island itself they reach a new and unexplored place, which they find better than the outer world and a few characters decide to stay there forever. Then I could say that the story has acquired a new flavor.
But still I like the ‘Lost’ series in its present form so I won’t be devastated by this story line also. I am just waiting to watch what happens to everybody left on the island.

What the producers say about season five
Hey Losties! First of all, good news, ‘Lost’ has got its deserving place in Emmy’s nomination list as Outstanding Drama Series. A few days back when the list of nominations came out I was wondering at Lost’s absence from the list and like me, many bloggers wrote about it being unfair to ‘Lost’. So eventually this is now added to the list. Today I was looking for TV news on Buddy TV and I got it there.
Besides this, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have dropped a few comments for Buddy TV. The show runners are really worried about viewers’ expectations from the new season of ‘Lost’. They are working hard on making it fresh and yet in a way that is acceptable to the viewers. Lindelof said that they did’t want to spoil it or make it boring. Lindelof and Cuse want to hook up the viewers for longer. They said that they were working to accommodate the old cast in an innovative way in the new episodes. They are aware of the fact that if too many members of the cast leave the show then the viewers will lose their interest in the show, so they are trying to make it fast paced in the initial episodes.
Means I can expect the story to run at the right pace and it won’t be slow in the coming episodes. Moreover we will find quick developments in the show. Cool, it means the fifth season is going to bring something interesting in the new package.
You know that character Jin Soo Kwon, who can’t speak in English but can understand a bit, played by Daniel Dae Kim, well, he will appear in the new season. But it is not sure whether he is dead or alive. If he’s dead then he will appear in flash back scenes of somebody’s memory sphere and if he’s alive then he would be found injured by rest of the people.

Lost on pages
No, I am not talking about a book that I have gone through and got lost in the process. Rather I am talking about the TV show ‘Lost’. You know these guys go exactly opposite to the popular trends. For example, producers usually take a concept from a novel and then make a TV show or movie on that, or the makers of the TV show make a movie as a spin off of a popular series or weave a story around the characters of the show.
But I laughed when I read about ‘Lost’ on yahoo buzz that the show has released a novel based on the ‘Lost’ TV show. Isn’t it funny? Truly a strange idea! Anyways I haven’t seen or read the novel yet. But I think it will fill the gap if you have missed watching any of the episodes. Or you couldn’t understand somewhere that what’s happening.
This may unveil many mysteries of the island. Or we may know about the story the French woman from the very beginning how she came to the island sixteen years ago. Also we can know in detail about the inhabitants of the island as well as their mythologies and insights, which I missed due to work. I am eager to read about Dharma initiative and Hanso foundation introduced in the Lost season 2.
I think in this book, every episode would be elaborated in detail. Well I am fond of reading and sci-fi does attract me. So if the book presents some insight into the characters and mythology of the show, then I am interested. Moreover I missed many characters who were introduced in different seasons. I can catch them there.

I have already downloaded the last season and have almost watched whole of it. So the book can give me a glimpse of initial seasons. And after reading the book it will be more fun watching all the episodes again, this time with comparative approach.

Lost in the Emmy race
Thank God, Lost has not got lost from the Emmy nominations list, it’s still there. It has been short listed as a best drama in the list of ten, created by Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. It deserves to be there because in the last season all the episodes were really well made except the final episode. But overall, each episode told its own tale while carrying the story forward while revealing the lives and characters of the people on the island. The ambiguous nature of the show is its charm and its attraction.
Recently ‘Lost’ had won many of the Saturn awards too for its cast. It won four awards there. It won one Emmy for Outstanding Drama series in 2005 also, so it seems that it can make it this year too. It was liked by everyone in the last season and almost all its episodes were good whereas, the other shows were nominated on the basis of one or two good episodes. Others in the competition are ‘Dexter’ and ‘Grey’s anatomy’. There are others too but they are in entirely different league altogather. Those are either medical dramas or the family dramas.
So I see a large scope that ‘Lost’ is going to win. I think, this is the one of the few shows which has such a huge cast, Desperate Housewives also has similar claims. But in Lost, we have as many stories as the number of people. So it brings a different spice to the show. The show creators have left sufficient space for love triangles and it just hooks up the viewer thinking over that who is interested in whom?
Basically the show includes many sub-plots along with the main plot. So it doesn’t let it become monotonous as there is a lot of action going on all the time. The characters keep growing and their past is revealed in flashbacks bringing in even more characters in the story who are not even present on the island.
The show people have given equal importance to the most of the characters so there is no single protagonist around whom the Lost TV show revolves. Secondly its episodes are woven in such a manner that when ever you start watching the show you will understand what is going on there in the show.

‘Lost’ the brilliant example of Sci-fi
Well if you guys value the brilliance of a person who gives you the bitter stuff in a sweet coating, then you have to appreciate J.J.Abrams, the co-creator of ‘Lost’. Well in reality, the hard core science fictions are for the people who understand the complex things easily. But not in case of ‘Lost’, as this has hooked up even those who hate sci-fi and this is the brilliance of ‘ Lost‘ team. I think the reason for Abrams’ success is that he knows how to turn it into entertainment for everyone
The show was quite weird from the beginning as a supernatural angle has been added to it. Everybody is unaware of secrets about the island and then there are flashbacks that seem to connect people on the island in a strange manner. Desmond’s time travel storyline and many mind boggling things make the each episode fascinating. But the show remains exciting and keeps the audience hooked up to the season 4.
Some people are of opinion that the show has became ridiculous as it goes along with sci-fi flavor, but some say that it is compulsory evolution of the show. But whatever people say I personally have an attachment with the show, as to me, the sci-fi touch has doubled up the weirdness of the show.

Eventually it became necessary to include some technology and scientific drama as the mystery of the island was slowly unraveled. The brilliance lies in the presentation and I hope sci-fi lovers and haters both will agree that ‘Lost’ has proved itself as a brilliant piece of work.

Something Nice Back Home review
I found this episode a very special one as it concentrated more on the characters and how events affect them more than the actual events. With this episode things got really very personal. Don’t you think so…. ( Download it here)
On this episode, the fact that I found more impressive than any other issues was that Jack has appendicitis. Well, I am joking.
Right from the very first episode of series, Jack is a guy who has helped everyone mentally, emotionally, physically in every possible way. For me, he’s the man with positive attitude who cares about every one
Now, it’s the turn of the group to save the man who has saved them many times and looked after them. Juliet decides to operate him quickly in order to save his life. Love triangle of Jack, Kate and Juliet is what I never found a compelling storyline and Juliet’s decision to let Kate and Jack’s relationship grow was an appreciable decision.
A particularly moving scene that does an exceptional job of showing the connection between the two was when Kate stands out holding the mirror during Jack’s operation. It was so amazing to see Kate and Jack living together in domestic bliss. The technique of flash forward which is so generously used in ‘Lost’ is not a very common in TV shows. Oh! Did we forget to talk about Jin and Charlotte? Charlotte knows Korean but why she’s keen on hiding it. Jin was far more concerned with getting her to agree to help Sun get off the island. Something goes wrong as Sawyer, Claire, Aaron, and Miles continue their trek away from Locke’s camp and back to the beach. Best quotes from this episode:-

Lost: The Shape of Things to Come
It was a not only a great episode from series but was a great episode in TV history also. When I watched last episode from series, I was quite sure that Danielle Rousseau was alive but after watching The Shape of Things to Come, I’m not that sure. As the episode starts, at the beach camp, a dead body appears on the shore and Daniel and Charlotte recognize it as the doctor on the boat.
Jack asks Daniel when all this happened and then Daniel gives him a cryptic. They both can’t use the satellite phone so Daniel assembles a Morse code transmitter and with the help of that transmitter they communicate with the boat. Initially, Daniel tells that a helicopter is coming to pick them up. Jack starts having severe pain in intestines. Barracks camp is facing its own set of problems. People on the boat capture Alex and then, he trips the security system and let Ben know they all are crossing the fence. Miles is send by the people on the boat to give a phone to Ben. Honestly, Alex’s getting shot in execution style was totally unexpected and mind blowing. Ben opens a secret door and may know who the monster is? Sayid’s report is being seen by Ben. Ben discovers the killer of Sayid’s wife. Ben and Sayid argue about the fight and in the end Ben agrees to help Sayiad. Episode ends when Ben visits Charles in his penthouse in London and informs Widmore that he changed the rules after killing Alex.
I love episodes which keep you wanting more and it was exactly that type of episode as it made me curious to know more about the upcoming episode from series.
I expect that the episode ‘Something Nice back Home’ will have more stuff than this and I’m crazy for that. Are you? Yeah of course! Just wait until the next episode comes on air and meanwhile watch latest Lost episodes online now.

Lost: returning to air on April 24
Such a dark time for ‘Lost‘ fans! Various Thursdays have passed without the ‘Lost’ episodes and because of WGA strike, fourth season only has five episodes left. Actually, the ‘Lost’ season four was originally planned to have 16 episodes but at a later stage, was cut down because of writers’ strike. After finding it very difficult to squeeze the story of season 4 into 13 episodes, the producers has decided to add an extra 60 minutes episode. Lost is returning to air on April 24 and will move to its new 10:00 pm time slot and season’s finale will be aired on May 22. The episode that’s going to be aired on April 24 is named ‘The Shape of Things to come‘. Edward Kitsis, co-executive producer of ABC’s ‘Lost’ said in an interview “It’s really worked out well. We came back from the strike, and everyone is just really excited, and I have to say, creatively, every day has been a pleasure. Everything we’re doing right now is exciting, and every script that is going out, you’re jealous if you didn’t write it”.

Lost Season 4: Episode 1- “The Beginning of the End”
This episode worked wonderfully. As the season begins, every survivor feels that rescue is close but they are not sure whether or not to believe on Charlie’s final message that the people who claim to liberate them are what they seem to be. Some unlikely alliances are made as they think that the enemy of their enemy is their friend. Something that happened at Locke’s camp makes Hurley feel terrible for not going with Jack. The episode was really the end of WGA strike and begun the Lost season 4.
Lost Season 4: Episode 2 -”Confirmed Deal”
This episode was a way to introduce freighters.
Lost Season 4: Episode 3- “The Economists”
The most enjoyable thing was the spy game of the episode. Kate and Sayid decide to look for the hostage held by Locke for they think that he could be their passport to freedom. Actually, the episode was for the hardcore ‘Lost’ fans among us. Some flash forwards raised another questions and because of brilliant ending the episode is the best one of the season. Lost Season 4:
Episodes 4- “Egg town”
The episode in which Kate decides to take matters into her own hand and it may be the reason of some problems with Locke, the camp leader. The episode was very much liked by Kate fans. Her story deals with how she managed to escape from jail on her return to the mainland after the island incidents. In a nut shell, it was a decent episode in which Sawyer shines.
Lost Season 4: Episodes 5- “The Constant”
What I observed is that ‘The Constant’ was the best episode of the show ever. The way Desmond’s consciousness drifted through time in this episode was handled fantastically and the story was put on a slow burner making the most of Desmond and Faraday.
Lost Season 4: Episode 6- “The Other Woman”
The complete episode on women was really unbearable. Juliet gets a surprise visit from some one from her past. She is given order to stop Charlotte and Faraday from doing what they have set out to do. Farady manages to shine once again. Ben offers Locke a very lucrative deal.
Lost Season 4: Episode 7- “Ji Yeon”
The episode uses a flash forward starring Sun and Jin. In this episode, Juliet decides to reveal some startling news to Jin when Sun joins Locke’s camp. Sayid and Desmond meet the ship’s captain and come to know the crew.

Lost Season 4: Episode 8- “Meet Kevin Johnson”
Sayid encounters Michael and the secret of how Ben’s spy got on the freighter is revealed. Ben sends his daughter Alex to a safer place so that she may survive an impending attack.
