Harold Perrineau took birth in Brooklyn, New York. His father is named Harold Williams, Sr. When he was at 7; his parents changed his name to Williams. Later, Harold came to know that there was already a Harold Williams in the Screen Actors Guild Union so he legally changed his name back to his birth name. His French surname is derived from his mother’s maiden name. Perrineau joined Shenandoah University, but he did not complete his graduation.
In 1989, Perrineau appeared as the original Tyrone Jackson in the world premiere of the stage adaptation of the 1980 hit movie Fame. He got the role of Link in ‘The Matrix’.
On ‘Lost’, Perrineau plays the character of Michael Dawson. At the end of the season two, he was temporarily written out of the plot. However, at the beginning of its fourth season, he was written back to the storyline.

Harold Perrineau appears as Michael Dawson on the TV series ‘Lost’. He is a resident of New York City, United States and is a construction worker and former artist as well. After the plane crashed on island in the South Pacific, we saw him among the survivors of the plane crash along with Walt and Walt’s dog.
