In the year 2007, to judge Ben, Locke and Ben went to the main island. There Ben was supposed to be judged through the smoke monster. Then afterwards, Frank was made hostage by the survivors when he went back to the Hydra island. Then it was shown in a flashback that Ben kidnaps Alex in the year 1988 (when he was a kid). Then prior to boarding the flight, he confronts Desmond and Penny.
